Cook or Assistant Cook Federal Asylum Center (m/f/d)

Your tasks

• Collaboration in the daily preparation of breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well as snacks
• Support of the head chef in the preparation, production, and distribution of meals
• Collaboration in the implementation of the specified menu plans and special diets
• Ensuring a clean, hygienic, and professional way of working
• Support in goods receipt, inventory management, and food control
• Participation in demand-oriented production planning according to current occupancy
• Careful and economical handling of food and avoidance of food waste
• Support in the inclusion and guidance of asylum seekers within the framework of internal employment programs
• Cleaning and tidying of own work areas and kitchen facilities
• Collaboration with the head chef, care staff, and other employees of the Federal Asylum Center
• Collaboration in kitchen operations on weekends and public holidays

Your profile

• Completed school and vocational training; a Matura is also considered vocational training, equivalent foreign degrees will be recognized
• At least three years of professional experience
• Experience in kitchen, gastronomy, communal catering, or food production is an advantage
• Good oral German skills
• Good oral skills in another national language, English, or a relevant foreign language
• Hygiene-conscious, reliable, and careful way of working
• Enjoyment of working with people from different cultures
• Resilience and ability to work in a team
• Willingness to work on weekends and public holidays
