To complement our team in Rapperswil, we are looking for, effective immediately or by arrangement, a

Social Worker 60-80% (temp. until 30.07.2027) ##

Responsibilities ###

• Responsible for case management and advising asylum seekers and refugees. Conducting client interviews, initial counseling, assistance with everyday problems, resolving conflicts, mediation, and arbitration
• Coordinating, clarifying, and forwarding to specialized agencies in the case of issues outside of one's own responsibility
• Developing and implementing measures for social integration
• Taking responsibility for the completeness and correct physical and electronic file management. Taking responsibility for correct data entry / mutation / case documentation
• Supporting asylum seekers according to cantonal standards and internal guidelines. Calculating and paying out support benefits according to applicable standards and the principle of subsidiarity. Creating and/or correcting quarterly statements as well as maintaining accounting lists and tables
• Creating decrees with legal remedy instructions for integration measures. Checking the decrees prepared by the administration
• Conducting monthly home visits (if relevant)
• Ensuring communication with the client and other authorities. Collaborating with other internal departments

Profile ###

• Completed training in Social Pedagogy / Social Work (HF/FH) / Diploma as an Educator (HF/FH) / Bachelor in Psychology or Bachelor in Sociology
• 0 to 1 year of relevant professional experience
• Ability to cooperate and work in a team
• Empathy and sensitivity in dealing with people from different backgrounds
• Ability to independently implement social interventions
• Basic and user knowledge of MS Office applications
• Impeccable reputation (no entries in the debt enforcement and criminal registers)
• German | oral: C1 | written: C1
• English | oral: B2 | written: B2
• Other asylum-relevant language (advantageous) | oral: B2 | written: B2
