In this role, you contribute directly to offering a warm, fluid and personalized experience to a local and international clientele. You will evolve in a human-sized environment, where attention to detail, quality of service and authenticity occupy an essential place.

As Chef de Rang, you ensure the set-up, service and clearing of breakfast, afternoon snack and aperitif according to the needs of the operation. You welcome each client with professionalism and naturalness, adapt your level of attention to their expectations and ensure you anticipate their needs without ever being intrusive. You present products and drinks with precision and ensure attentive, fluid and personalized service.

You take orders, ensure the service of hot and cold drinks, ensure the replenishment of the buffet and maintain impeccable tables and customer areas throughout the service. You are also responsible for monitoring different areas such as the coffee machine, honesty bars, the lounge, the salon or the kiosk, paying particular attention to presentation, product rotation and replenishment. You rigorously apply information relating to allergies and dietary requirements and immediately alert your hierarchy in case of doubt or a particular situation.

You develop an excellent knowledge of the offer in order to be able to advise customers with accuracy and naturalness. You know the drinks offered, local products and the particularities of the house and are able to present wines and other premium products in a professional manner. You also know how to identify opportunities to propose a complementary experience or product, always with subtlety and without forced selling. At the end of services, you ensure a clear handover, both oral and written, concerning special customer requests, allergies, any shortages, incidents or points remaining to be treated.

Profile sought

You have proven experience in hotel service, refined catering or within a high-end establishment. You master the fundamentals of service, set-up as well as the service of hot and cold drinks. Comfortable in a demanding environment, you know how to simultaneously manage customer requests, replenishment, maintenance of spaces and the various tasks related to service.

Your sense of contact and your customer orientation allow you to offer a personalized and attentive experience. You are an autonomous, versatile, organized and rigorous person, capable of remaining calm and precise during periods of high activity. You appreciate teamwork and collaborate naturally with the kitchen, concierge, housekeeping and Management in order to guarantee a consistent experience to each customer.

You perfectly master French and English and have a real commercial sense, allowing you to advise with elegance and professionalism. A good knowledge of Swiss wines, Valaisan products and the local offer constitutes an asset, as does a knowledge of the Val d'Hérens and its main attractions. Discreet and respectful of confidentiality, you adopt in all circumstances a presentation and an attitude worthy of a high-end establishment.

We offer you a position at 60% within a human-sized hotel house, located in an exceptional setting in the heart of Évolène. You will evolve in an environment where the quality of service, simplicity, authenticity and the attention paid to each customer are at the center of the experience.

The position offers varied hours according to the needs of the operation, with possible shifts in the morning, during the day or in the evening, as well as weekends and public holidays.
