Head Chef 100% For 12 years, the Militärkantine has been a wonderful hotel and restaurant at Kreuzbleichepark in St.Gallen. The 21 individual hotel rooms are booked and appreciated by business travelers, holiday guests, and groups. The restaurant with 80 seats and the large garden is a meeting point for all people who appreciate good food, personal service, and lived sustainability. The seasonal cuisine is based on fresh products, predominantly from the region, and a cosmopolitan, creative, and surprising menu design. Everything that belongs is served from breakfast, through lunch to dinner, from the pastry to the piece of cake. In the halls, people celebrate, dance, eat, work, and much more; people always meet and we make what is possible happen. As a cultural and social house, the Militärkantine is known throughout the entire region and the doors are open 365 days a year. For this lively house, we are looking for your energetic cooperation as Head Chef starting from September 26 or by arrangement. Your tasks: • Organization of the entire kitchen in cooperation with the management and the kitchen team • Menu planning for à la carte and banquet • Implementation of recipes • Production of cold and warm dishes • Leadership of the 15-member kitchen team • Ordering, goods control, inventory management • Implementation of hygiene and quality standards (HACCP) • Work schedule • Calculation • Inventory You bring with you: • Completed apprenticeship as a Cook • Possibly further training as a Head Chef • Experience in organization and team leadership • Joy in seasonal and creative food culture We offer a contemporary employment with fair wages and a position in a lively, slightly different gastro operation.
