Stahl Gerlafingen AG is a significant company within the AFV BELTRAME GROUP, which is a European market leader in the production of bar steel.

Around 400 employees produce reinforcing steel from steel scrap in Gerlafingen. Stahl Gerlafingen AG is the largest recycling plant in Switzerland. The sales markets for the products are in Switzerland and the European Union.

For our ICT team at the Gerlafingen location, we are looking for a reliable and experienced personality who ensures the smooth operation of our SAP systems and competently supports our users. You will take on a central role in the operational SAP business and ensure that our systems function reliably and our employees are professionally supported with questions and concerns.

Tasks/Responsibilities

What awaits you:

• Documentation and ongoing maintenance of the SAP business processes existing at the location, as well as the construction and maintenance of a knowledge database.
• Processing and coordination of all SAP L1 support tickets at the location; independent solution of simple malfunctions and service requests.
• Support of the future rollout to SAP S/4HANA of the new SAP group model at the Swiss location across several project phases.
• Coordination with local system and network administrators as well as the HQ teams in case of malfunctions and changes to networks, applications, systems, and SAP.
• Collaboration in the conception, testing, implementation, and go-live of new requirements and SAP template processes in cooperation with HQ and local stakeholders.
• Support of the IT team in the administrative processing of SAP-related orders, in particular the creation, tracking, and processing of orders and subsequent processes.
• Checking the efforts and times reported by external suppliers for compliance with agreed services and deliverables; reporting deviations to the responsible departments.
• Support in the support of external SAP and application suppliers as well as SAP-integrated applications such as MES, shipping/logistics solutions, and scrap management.

Competencies

What you bring with you:

• Completed training or studies in the field of computer science, business informatics, IT application management, or a comparable qualification.
• Further training in the SAP environment, IT service management, process management, or project management is an advantage.
• Knowledge of SAP GTS, SAP VIM, and/or SAP HR is an advantage; willingness to further develop this knowledge.
• Experience in dealing with ticketing and incident management processes as well as ideally with AMS service providers.
• German as a native language, good English skills B1, Italian skills are an advantage.
• Experience with SAP interfaces to satellite systems such as MES, shipping/logistics, scrap management, treasury, or reporting is an advantage.
• Confident handling of ticketing, documentation, and common Office applications.
• Basic understanding of IT infrastructures, networks, applications, and SAP interfaces.
