Sous Chef (m/f)

We are a family-run hotel & restaurant in the heart of Kandersteg. Our business is open all year round and welcomes guests in one of the most beautiful mountain regions in Switzerland. To reinforce our well-coordinated kitchen team of 4 to 7 employees, we are looking for an committed personality as Sous Chef/In EFZ per immediately or by arrangement. With us, you will work at all kitchen stations and prepare fresh dishes for our guests together with the team. Our warm kitchen is open daily from 11.00 to 21.00. Our main season is in summer and winter – during these times, holidays are only possible to a limited extent. Your tasks: • Preparation of the mise en place for lunch and dinner service • Pre-production and professional preparation of food • Independent preparation of dishes and daily specials • Collaboration at all kitchen stations • Compliance with and implementation of HACCP hygiene guidelines • General cleaning and maintenance work in the kitchen What you bring with you: • Completed training as Koch / Köchin EFZ • Professional experience at various kitchen stations is an advantage • Independent, reliable and structured way of working • Quality awareness as well as joy in cooking • Team spirit, resilience and flexibility • Good German and/or English skills What we offer you: • Year-round position with a workload of 100 % • Family-like working environment with flat hierarchies and short decision-making paths • Independent work with varied tasks • Modern working conditions • Discounts in our second business in Faulensee • Flexible catering options • Staff accommodation subject to availability • Working in a unique mountain region with high recreational value
