Import-Export Manager (M/F)

At La Montre Hermès, within the Commercial Department and the Commercial Operations team, the Import-Export Manager ensures the management of exports and the organization of transport, in compliance with the spirit of service and progress that Hermès intends to offer its customers.

He/she works closely with the members of the Import-Export team and collaborates with the various departments in order to organize shipments and other occasional events. He/she coordinates and, if necessary, assists the Commercial Coordinators by establishing shipping documents (invoices, BL, e-dec, CITES, legalizations, EUR 1, etc.).

Your main missions will be as follows:

The Import-Export Manager ensures that the right product is made available to the customer, in the right place, at the right time, at minimum cost and with the best quality, by selecting the most suitable means of transport in terms of freight type and security level.

He/she respects and masters international legislation and free trade agreements, manages export and invoicing formalities, and provides customs clearance instructions for importation.

He/she provides a relevant and qualitative response to any request from internal and external customers in a spirit of service and respect, conveys a positive mindset within the team, maintains close collaboration with the various freight forwarders and partners, and manages the logistics of various trade fairs.

He/she manages daily contacts with internal customers by providing them with relevant solutions and information.

He/she ensures the management of CITES orders via the Federal Veterinary Office extranet site, declares all exports in the specific software, and serves as the primary relay for any question related to national or international transport, goods returns, and customs formalities.

He/she establishes legalizations through the Chamber of Commerce if necessary, issues and manages ATA carnets, and manages the preparation of shipments by coordinating with the shipping department and the ADV.

He/she optimizes shipments by grouping goods, in agreement with the markets, and prepares commercial and pro forma invoices, including the rebilling of packaging and transport costs.

He/she researches tariff positions, maintains and updates the data platform (Bolduc), verifies and validates invoices from carriers and freight forwarders, and organizes transport to the destination according to the customer's instructions.

He/she ensures the follow-up of shipments to their destination, reports problems occurring during exportation, and provides proposed solutions.

He/she collects the customs papers necessary for proof of export and ensures their regular filing, provides instructions for importation upon request, and manages the filing and archiving of documents.

Your profile:

You hold a CFC Employé de Commerce or a title deemed equivalent, and justify significant experience at a freight forwarder or in an export department.

You master the Office environment as well as an ERP tool, and possess excellent mastery of French both spoken and written, as well as fluent English.

Equipped with a strong team spirit and a keen sense of priorities, you manage stress effectively and demonstrate rigor, a sense of responsibility, and a constant concern for the control and verification of information.

Autonomous and service-oriented, you demonstrate flexibility and a great capacity for adaptation when faced with very diverse situations and issues, while demonstrating diplomacy and interpersonal skills.
