Siloah Langzeit offers comprehensive care to elderly people in need of care, people with disabilities, and persons with special needs at the locations Gümligen, Kühlewil, and Köniz. The offering includes geriatric care in elderly residential groups – including specialized offers for people with dementia, addiction, or gerontopsychiatric needs – as well as care in neurological residential groups.

Your area of responsibility:

• Ensuring smooth processes in the kitchen as well as for all meals for the residents and the public restaurant Sinfonie
• Creation of the weekly menu as well as the banquet offer in cooperation with the department management
• Personnel scheduling, time recording as well as leadership, training, and support of the kitchen team
• Ensuring quality, hygiene (HACCP), and cleaning standards
• Creation and further processing of department-relevant documentation
• Responsible for inventory management as well as budget responsibility in your own area
• Contact person for residents for all matters regarding meals
• Taking over administrative tasks such as statistics, protocols, and further training planning
• Close cooperation with the areas of Nursing & Care, Service, Housekeeping, Administration, and Technical Services

Your profile:

• Completed training in the field of kitchen, ideally further training as Chefkoch/Chefköchin (BP) or a comparable qualification
• Several years of professional and leadership experience in a comparable position
• Vocational trainer in training companies or the willingness to undergo further training
• Sound specialist knowledge and broad experience in catering and the event sector, ideally in an operation of comparable size and complexity
• Good knowledge and practical application of the relevant regulations, especially in the areas of hygiene and occupational safety
• Pronounced entrepreneurial, holistic, and networked thinking as well as good conceptual skills
• Strongly pronounced customer orientation, which you live by as a role model, paired with high social and personal competence
• Joy and ability for interdisciplinary cooperation as well as very good communicative skills

The Siloah-Verbund:
The Siloah-Verbund, with around 1'000 employees, is an independent and self-financed basic provider in old age and operates a geriatric medicine hospital, three home locations, as well as two Spitex support centers in the Canton of Bern. The Siloah-Verbund wants to implement the concept of "Integrated care in old age" holistically within its own structures and through partnerships.
