The Migration department supports refugees in creating perspectives. Services include accommodation, guidance within the framework of social assistance, as well as support with linguistic and professional integration. They enable refugees in the canton of Bern to have a professional perspective and thus contribute to their sustainable integration and to more humanity in the canton of Bern.

To strengthen our Job Placement and Coaching management team, we are looking for a committed, strong-willed, and entrepreneurial personality as:

Head of Job Placement and Coaching, 80-100%

as of 1 January 2027 or by arrangement

Your tasks

• You lead the Job Placement and Coaching area and are responsible for the technical, personnel, organizational, and financial management.
• Within the framework of the NA-BE mandate with the canton of Bern, you will further develop the area according to the strategic goals for the regions Berner Mittelland and Berner Jura – Seeland.
• You design efficient processes, ensure the quality of the offers, and are responsible for the targeted allocation of clients as well as the effective use of resources.
• You build sustainable partnerships with companies and create new opportunities for the labor market integration of persons with provisional admission, refugee status, or protection status.
• You maintain and expand the network with companies, business associations, authorities, and other partner organizations.
• You promote cross-departmental cooperation with internal specialist departments and external partners to optimally coordinate the integration offers.

Your profile

• You have higher vocational training, a university degree, or an equivalent qualification as well as several years of leadership experience.
• You bring experience in job placement and/or coaching, ideally supplemented by sound knowledge in the migration field or a related field of activity.
• You think entrepreneurially, act in a business-oriented manner, and recognize opportunities to develop new solutions and partnerships.
• You convince through leadership competence, assertiveness, and a pragmatic, solution-oriented way of working.
• You communicate convincingly and move confidently among different stakeholders.
• You have excellent German and good French skills in spoken and written form as well as English skills.
• You have an impeccable reputation (criminal record extract).
