The network of the Swiss Youth Hostels association consists of 43 own and 7 partner youth hostels, ranging from the romantic castle to the urban design establishment to the wellness hostel. The non-profit organization achieves around 820'000 overnight stays annually. The focus is on quality-conscious, sustainable, and affordable youth and family tourism. For our new youth hostel Savognin, which is expected to open its doors in mid-December 2026, we are looking for a COOK, 100% as of December 2026. Your tasks • Responsibility for the F&B offer and all processes in the kitchen • Motivating and competent leadership of the small kitchen team • Procurement and ordering with consideration of budget and target specifications • Control of the compliance with and implementation of hygiene and occupational safety regulations according to HACCP • Preparation of varied dishes from fresh, regional products (3-course menu) • Assistance with cleaning according to the cleaning schedule Your profile • Completed training as a cook • You have professional experience in a similar position • You have an efficient and orderly way of working • You show initiative and are well organized • You are punctual, resilient, and reliable. • Irregular working hours and weekend shifts are no obstacle for you • You speak German and English, Italian is an advantage What we offer you We offer you a varied activity in a professional and modern non-profit organization.
