The employer is looking for a: PYP Inclusion and Student Learning Specialist (IB Specialist) Tasks: • teaching within the PYP program • coordination of student support strategies • development of systems for monitoring academic progress • the objective of the position is to ensure that all students, including those with specific educational needs, achieve high educational standards and formative success. 1. teaching in the Primary Years Programme (PYP) • plan and implement learning units in line with the IB PYP framework • apply learning methodologies based on inquiry-based learning • contribute to linguistic integration within the bilingual environment of the school 2. Inclusive Education and Student Support • design and implement Individualized Learning Plans (ILP) • support students with mild or moderate special educational needs • collaborate with teachers to develop differentiated teaching strategies • promote inclusive practices within educational teams 3. Data Analysis and Assessment • manage and analyze data from standardized assessment tools, such as NWEA MAP • monitor student progress and identify targeted interventions • support teaching staff in using data for instructional planning • prepare periodic reports for the school management and for families 4. Management of School Systems • use school management platforms such as iSAMS • ensure accurate recording and management of academic information • contribute to the improvement of organizational and administrative processes 5. Professional Training and Staff Support Conduct internal training activities on: differentiated instruction inclusive education educational practices based on data analysis Support teachers in the development of pedagogical practices Requirements: • degree in Educational Sciences or equivalent title • IB PYP training certification (minimum Category 1; Category 2 preferred) • proven experience in the field of inclusive education / special educational needs • experience in using standardized assessment systems (e.g., NWEA MAP) • experience in using school management systems (e.g., iSAMS or equivalents) • minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in international school contexts • excellent knowledge of the English language • Preferred Skills and Experiences • experience in the integration of IB pedagogy, inclusion, and data analysis • experience in bilingual or multilingual educational environments • experience in teacher training and mentoring Employment details: • work location Lugano • 100% employment • employment by prior agreement, permanent • salary to be agreed upon
