To strengthen our reception team, we are looking for a committed personality to start immediately or by arrangement as a reception employee (50%) at the Buchs location. The reception is not only our business card, but also a central point of contact for students, employees, lecturers, professors, and external guests. You will be working at the reception on Mondays and Fridays as well as on an additional, flexibly selectable half-day. You will also be responsible for holiday cover during several weeks per year and be willing to provide flexible support in case of short-term absences. Together with another person, you will ensure 100% coverage - reliably, service-oriented, and friendly. ### Your tasks • Management of the telephone switchboard & reception (clarification of inquiries, provision of information) • Responsible for creating and issuing the Campus Card for employees and students • Management of parking spaces and external and internal room rentals • Performing various organizational and administrative tasks (independent handling of correspondence, mailings, cash desk, equipment rental, support for study administration, etc.) Your qualifications • Completed commercial basic training (EFZ) • At least five years of professional experience, ideally in the reception or administration area, e.g. in the hotel industry • Very good knowledge of MS Office applications • You are characterized by an open, structured, and resilient personality and are still flexible • You have patience and enjoyment in dealing with different demand groups • You have a strong team spirit, professional appearance, and a cheerful nature Your benefits with us Questions about the application process Peter Büsser Senior HR Business Partner peter.buesser@ost.ch About the OST The OST - Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences is an intercantonal and interstate university of applied sciences with locations in Buchs, Rapperswil-Jona, and St.Gallen.
