Vocational training moves you forward: The Dienststelle Berufs- und Weiterbildung is the competence center for vocational training and further education in the Kanton Luzern. The Abteilung Betriebliche Bildung is responsible for the supervision of basic vocational training. It acts as a hub, issues educational permits, approves apprenticeship contracts, and advises and supports the apprenticeship contract parties as well as the educational partners on all matters of vocational training.

Close by when decisions are made and at the same time close to your team: This newly created leadership function combines both. You shape changes with foresight and implementation strength, empower people, and actively help shape the further development of our Abteilung Betriebliche Bildung. We are the central contact point for training companies regarding the in-company training of apprentices.

Your tasks

• You lead a 10-member team of specialists in administration personally and professionally, as well as cooperatively and appreciatively. You involve your employees, promote them specifically, and further develop the newly merged team structure.
• Your team is a reliable support for the training advisors: You ensure service-oriented administrative support and the harmonization of processes.
• The entire administrative apprenticeship contract management is your responsibility: You ensure that processes are implemented efficiently and reliably.
• As a member of the leadership team, you contribute your perspective and, together with the Department Head and the two other Team Leaders, shape the strategic development of the department.
• For the Department Head, you are a trusted sparring partner: You exchange ideas openly, think topics through together, and you take over the deputy role for the Department Head in their absence.
• In projects, working groups, and cross-departmental projects, you take responsibility and consistently drive topics forward.

Your profile

• You have a higher vocational qualification or a degree from a university of applied sciences, e.g., in business administration, administration, or a related field.
• You have already gained several years of professional and leadership experience, ideally in public administration or the education sector.
• You have already proven yourself in project management and in change processes and know how to structurally develop teams.
• An appreciative and participatory leadership culture is a matter of course for you. You involve employees, delegate responsibility, and create space for initiative and development.
• Knowledge of vocational training and its legal foundations is an advantage - or you are prepared to acquire this knowledge quickly and thoroughly.
