A discipline that executes a robust process of system design, creation, and optimization, including the identification and quantification of system requirements, the creation of alternative system design concepts, the performance of business design studies, the selection and implementation of the best designs, and verification that the design is correctly integrated and executed. A process ranging from concept to operation via production.
Exerts impact on the approaches, projects, and programs of the functional area or organization and the affected working methods. Influences the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of their own team. Contributes significantly to the development of priorities. Relies on professional practices and policies shaped by the role. The role has moderate autonomy, requiring a high level of operational judgment.

Roles and responsibilities

• Performs integration of components and products. All activities encompassing multiple components and products and concerned with the integration of solutions for maximum performance and operability. Manages requirements, specifications, and product and system flows. Leads validation and verification activities for the entire product/system, including system-level testing. Responsible for defining product requirements for module/component/subcontractor teams and partners. Manages the interface between components and execution organizations. Responsible for managing CTQ/Risk transactions within the teams in charge of component design. Manages overall product configuration and the configuration control system.
• Develop specialized knowledge in their discipline. Provides advice on best practices and/or quality. Is aware of the latest technical developments in their own field. Contributes to the development of strategies and policies, and ensures implementation within the limits of their area of responsibility.
• Possesses in-depth knowledge of best practices and how their own field integrates with others. Possesses practical knowledge of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.
• Demonstrates judgment to make decisions or resolve moderately complex tasks or problems in the areas of operations, product management, manufacturing, technology, or engineering. Adopts a new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and data analysis expertise to support recommendations. Calls upon limited internal and external resources outside of their own function to help them make a decision.
• Acts as a resource for less experienced colleagues. Can drive small projects with moderate risks and resource needs. Explains difficult or sensitive information. Strives to establish consensus. Develops the persuasion skills necessary to influence others on subjects within their field.

Basic Qualifications

• - For roles outside the United States - This role requires advanced experience in the function and digital audio workstation. Knowledge equivalent to a master's degree at an accredited university (or a bachelor's degree with experience in a relevant field). - For roles in the United States - Master's degree from an accredited university (or high school diploma and/or general studies diploma with at least 6 years of experience in the function).
