Head of Product Management & Sales

As a member of the senior management team, you and your team pull the commercial strings so that thousands of tons of consumer and industrial goods roll every day from North Sea ports across Europe for our business customers. With your foresight, you shape our orientation as a reliable player in rail freight transport and ensure that we achieve our financial goals. ###

What awaits you:

• Define and implement product and sales strategy, identify new market opportunities in European rail freight transport and utilize them for growth initiatives
• Overall responsibility for all sales activities (B2B) with an annual revenue portfolio of approximately CHF 250 Mio.
• Building and maintaining relationships with key customers and new business partners
• Conducting complex commercial and contractual negotiations with corporate customers and partner companies at national and international levels
• Ensuring the profitability of all products, including responsibility for contribution margins and billing of transport services
• Personnel and professional management of four teams with 15 employees in Switzerland
• Representing the department to the shareholders in the Board of Directors of BLS Cargo AG

What you bring with you:

• University degree, for example in business administration, logistics or a related field
• Several years of leadership experience in a position with full responsibility for revenue and financial results
• Profound knowledge of the freight transport and logistics markets, especially in the relevant areas (NL, B, D, CH, F, I)
• Proven success in B2B sales and business development in complex markets
• Experience and network with international customers and suppliers in the European logistics market and the ability to build trusting, long-term partnerships
• Business fluent in German and English, further language skills are an advantage
• Willingness for regular business travel in Europe
