The Project
Upcoming opening of a coffee shop in an unusual and atypical location: a vaulted cellar in the heart of Lausanne. This calm and warm place aims to attract a clientele seeking novelty and originality, around a deliberately simple beverage menu, but designed to be executed to the best of its ability. A great opportunity to join the adventure from its launch and to contribute, from the very first days, to shaping the identity and atmosphere of this new place.

Your missions

• Prepare espresso-based drinks (espresso, cappuccino, latte etc.) in compliance with quality standards
• Prepare matcha-type drinks, teas, lemonades and others
• Produce careful steamed milk and latte art, managing rotation and recurring cleanings.
• Welcome and advise customers with personalized service, adapted to the intimate atmosphere of the place
• Advise customers on a small selection of decorative and gourmet items offered for sale (candles, syrups, etc.)
• Manage the cash register and counter maintenance
• Ensure the setup, daily maintenance of the coffee machine and equipment, and compliance with hygiene standards
• Participate in stock management (coffee, snacks, milk, plant-based alternatives, cups, etc.)
• Contribute to the atmosphere and identity of the café (suggestions, events, occasionally social media)

Profile sought

• Passion for the barista profession and the desire to progress/learn
• Sense of service, patience and taste for human contact, comfortable in a calm and convivial setting
• Autonomy, rigor and sense of organization (equipment management, cleanliness, timing)
• A first experience as a barista is a plus, but motivated and beginner profiles are also considered
• Schedule flexibility appreciated (opening, closing, Saturdays)

Conditions

• Contract type: CDI, activity rate 80–100%
• Place of work: Lausanne Centre, (surroundings of Globus and Bongénie)
• Salary: to be defined
• Start date: mid-end September
