Job Description

As Head of Technology Operations, you will assume responsibility for an experienced technical area and report directly to the CTO.

You combine pronounced leadership competence with sound technical understanding and entrepreneurial thinking. In doing so, you ensure stable and highly available operations while continuously developing the organization, processes, and technological infrastructure.

A key component of your task is to set clear priorities, make decisions independently, and implement a sustainable technological roadmap together with your teams.

Your Responsibilities

• Leadership, development, and empowerment of an experienced technical area, including subordinate leadership responsibility
• Ensuring stable, reliable, and highly available technology and infrastructure operations
• Strategic and technological further development of the existing infrastructure
• Development and implementation of a sustainable technology and infrastructure roadmap
• Management of strategic infrastructure, modernization, and transformation projects
• Further development of structures, processes, standards, and responsibilities
• Active management of Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and operational risks
• Cooperation with internal stakeholders as well as external technology and service partners
• Evaluation of technological developments and derivation of suitable solutions for future business requirements
• Close cooperation with the CTO on technological, organizational, and strategic issues

Desired Profile

You are an experienced leadership personality with a sound technical background and feel comfortable in a dynamic, internationally oriented technology environment.

You take responsibility, create orientation, and are used to making decisions independently. At the same time, you possess the technical competence to understand complex infrastructure and architecture topics, question them critically, and develop them further together with experienced specialists.

Additionally, you bring:

• Several years of disciplinary leadership experience in the area of Technology Operations, IT Infrastructure, Network Operations, or a comparable technical environment
• Experience in leading and developing highly qualified technical specialists and, ideally, other managers
• Sound technical background in several areas such as Network, Systems, Data Center, Virtualization, Cloud, Storage, Backup, or Infrastructure Operations
• Experience with business-critical and highly available technology environments
• Demonstrable experience in the further development, professionalization, or transformation of technical organizations
• Pronounced entrepreneurial thinking and high individual responsibility
• Ability to connect technological decisions with business requirements and priorities
• Experience in an international environment, ideally combined with experience from a medium-sized, growth-oriented, or dynamic organization
• Valid work permit for Switzerland or EU/EFTA citizenship required
• Very good English skills; German skills are an advantage
