The IV Office of the Canton of Bern is undergoing change and is focusing on a modern corporate and leadership culture. We want to align our actions more closely with the needs of our clients and advance digitalisation.

What you can achieve with us

  • With commitment, you advise and support people with health impairments and clarify their entitlement to pension benefits.
  • You orient yourself to the individual life situations and resources of the clients. Your empathetic approach builds trust.
  • You act reliably and independently by using your scope for action in favour of the clients.
  • With empathy and a solution-oriented attitude, you maintain dialogue with internal and external partners and jointly develop effective solutions.
  • In the end, you ensure that pension entitlements are clarified quickly and in accordance with the law - with clear and comprehensible decisions.

Which skills are important to us

  • You are extremely service-oriented and have already proven this in the benefits area of a social or personal insurance.
  • You like to take responsibility and seek personal contact.
  • Your training as a social insurance specialist enables you to understand situations holistically and classify them legally correctly.
  • You organise yourself independently and efficiently.
  • In personal and written communication, you communicate clearly, understandably and comprehensibly, which builds trust.
  • Your constructive and respectful behaviour contributes to a good team climate.
  • In this position, it is important that you have fluent knowledge of French and German, both spoken and written.

What we offer you

  • Working hours

Annual working time (42 hours/week), possibility to work part-time as well as remotely, paid breaks

  • Holidays

At least 25 days of holiday per year, 28 days from the age of 45 and 33 days from the age of 55. Possibility of unpaid leave

  • Salary

Cantonal salary system, gender-neutral and comprehensible salary policy. Full salary during parental leave, military, civil protection and civilian service

Above-average contribution to the Bernese pension fund, payment of half the premium for non-occupational accident, supplementary accident and daily sickness allowance insurance
