Head of Social Affairs (80 %) ##

Your main tasks ###

• Professional leadership of the social services office
• Assessments and consultations, support of social assistance recipients
• Management of dossiers, responsibility for the implementation of statutory economic assistance
• Coordination tasks in the housing and care of asylum seekers
• Cooperation with various specialist agencies (social services, schools, Spitex, KESB, etc.)
• Contact point for child, youth, and family matters, specialist office for aging
• Drafting applications, secretariat of the social authority, implementation of decisions
• Participation in projects and working groups, partly including minute-taking
• Budgeting and cost control within the area of responsibility
• Participation in apprentice training

What you bring with you ###

• Several years of professional experience, ideally in a comparable role
• Willingness to acquire any missing knowledge
• Very good IT user skills
• Proficient German, both written and spoken
• Social and advisory competence as well as the ability to communicate clearly, consistently, and respectfully, even in demanding situations
• Joy in contacting people
• Independence, flexibility, resilience, and the ability to set boundaries
