The Department of Women, Children, and Adolescents has the mission of offering quality and tailored care to women at every stage of their life and to health problems faced by newborns, children, and adolescents from birth to the age of 16. For many years, the Department of Women, Children, and Adolescents has been developing cutting-edge services and competency centers in several medical specialties. In addition to monitoring and managing pregnancies until delivery, the Obstetrics Service is the reference center for the region for high-risk pregnancies and fetal-maternal medicine. The Maternity unit works closely with the Neonatology Unit where around 500 newborns are hospitalized each year, and teams take turns 24/7 to provide care and close monitoring. The Obstetrics Service, the largest Maternity in Switzerland with over 4000 deliveries per year, has the mission of managing pregnant women and diagnosing pregnancy until delivery, as well as during the postpartum period. Normal and high-risk pregnancies are monitored by the service, which performs ultrasounds and prenatal diagnosis. Therapeutic interruptions of pregnancy with a gestational age of over 12 weeks are also managed, as well as services in fetal medicine (monitoring, diagnosis, intrauterine treatment). The Maternity unit is committed to welcoming women and couples in optimal comfort and safety conditions, respecting their intimacy and values. Job Description ## As a deputy physician, you ensure the quality of medical services in the different care units of the service, particularly in the Fetal Medicine and Ultrasound Unit. You collaborate with the medical and nursing staff in patient care and ensure the coordination of practical activities, as well as diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for patients in your care. Evolved in a stimulating academic environment, within a multidisciplinary team, you are recognized for your leadership and utilize your excellent organizational, relational, and communication skills in a multidisciplinary team and with patients. Additionally, you have demonstrated strong adaptability. You efficiently accompany, supervise, and guide the internal medicine physicians and clinic heads in the service in their competency development. Demonstrating a confirmed interest in teaching, you participate in pre/post-graduate and ongoing training in obstetrics. As a dynamic, flexible, and committed person, you develop interdisciplinary clinical projects and participate in research projects in the obstetrics service. You participate in on-site duty and gynecology and obstetrics services. Qualifications ## You hold a federal diploma as a physician or have equivalent training recognized by the MEBEKO. You have an FMH title in gynecology and obstetrics or an equivalent title recognized by the MEBEKO, as well as in-depth training in Swiss maternal-fetal medicine or equivalent with the possibility of accreditation in Switzerland. You possess the right to practice, allowing you to work in the canton of Genève, and you have a minimum French level of C1. You have a doctoral thesis, privat-docent, or an equivalent title.
