Junior Logistics Coordinator (Industrial)

Our client (based in Genève), a specialist player in the international trading of industrial products, is looking for a Junior Logistics Coordinator to strengthen its team.

Missions

A true point of coordination between sales teams, the sourcing office based in Asia, European clients, and logistics partners, you ensure the complete follow-up of orders, from their creation to their final delivery.

You will operate within a varied scope combining operational management, logistics follow-up, international documentation, and customer relations.

Your main missions

Order Management

• Receipt and processing of customer orders (PDF / EDI)
• Verification and validation of data in the ERP
• Issuance and transmission of purchase orders to the sourcing teams in China
• Follow-up of proformas and management of any inconsistencies with customers

Logistics Follow-up

• Follow-up of international transport flows (booking, shipment, delivery)
• Analysis of discrepancies and delays via freight forwarder reporting
• Proactive communication with internal teams and external partners
• Updating of customer and freight forwarder EDI systems

Documentary and Financial Management

• Preparation and follow-up of letters of credit (LC)
• Processing of banking documents (documentary collection, LC)
• Receipt and distribution of documents related to operations
• Participation in invoicing according to defined incoterms

Dispute Management

• Follow-up of customer and supplier disputes until resolution
• Coordination with quality, transport, and sourcing teams
• Implementation of corrective actions on physical and administrative flows

Candidate Profile

Profile sought

• Higher education type Bac+2 to Bac+5 in International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering or Business.
• A first experience (internship, work-study or 1-2 years) in an international, transport or logistics environment is an asset.
• Good understanding of the basics of international trade (incoterms, customs).
• Very good level of English indispensable; Spanish or German a plus.
