Team Lead Indirect Procurement (80-100%)

As Team Leader for indirect procurement, you will take on a key role in our international procurement team. You will combine strategic foresight with an operational hands-on mentality, lead a committed team, and continuously develop Belimo's indirect procurement.

It is not about reinventing everything. Much is already working very well - your task is to understand what exists, develop it purposefully, and take the next steps together with your team.

Main Responsibilities

• You lead and develop a team of currently four employees and strengthen an open, performance-oriented, and collegial team culture.
• As an approachable leader, you communicate proactively, are closely connected to your employees, and live "Lead by Example" - with clarity, reliability, and a good dose of composure.
• You develop global procurement and category strategies for indirect materials and services and implement them successfully.
• In doing so, you identify savings and optimization potential and realize sustainable cost savings and cost avoidance.
• In demanding international price, contract, and framework agreement negotiations, you appear confidently and represent the interests of the company with negotiation skill and assertiveness.
• You specifically develop strategic suppliers, manage their performance, and ensure quality, delivery reliability, service, and compliance.
• Furthermore, you lead global procurement, transformation, and digitalization projects and work closely with Finance, HR, IT, Operations, Legal, and other specialist departments.
• Together with relevant stakeholders, you continuously develop processes and standards in indirect procurement, analyze procurement and supplier risks, and drive sustainable solutions in global procurement.

Required Expertise

• Several years of experience in strategic procurement, ideally with a strong focus on indirect procurement.
• Leadership experience in a management function as well as enjoyment in developing, promoting, and inspiring employees for common goals.
• Demonstrable successes in indirect procurement, for example in realizing savings, conducting tenders, demanding negotiations, in supplier management, or in the development and implementation of global purchasing strategies.
• Ideally, complementary experience in direct procurement as well as a good understanding of the connections along the entire supply chain.
• Strong negotiation skills and assertiveness, paired with the ability to remain objective even in challenging situations and to deal constructively with different positions and conflicts.
• A proactive and communicative personality who lives closeness to employees and stakeholders and convinces through a solution-oriented, binding, and pragmatic manner.
• Very good German and English skills in spoken and written form as well as confidence in working in an international environment.
• Completed studies, for example in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Technology, Finance, IT, or a comparable field, combined with the willingness for international travel of approx. 10%.
