French Teacher

Job Description ## In your capacity as a French teacher within the Etablissements de la plaine de l-Orbe (EPO), you provide individualized, collective, and adapted teaching, allowing detainees to acquire a good level of French. You evaluate the starting level as well as the progress of persons in training by valuing their participation, their involvement, and the quality of their work. You organize your teaching by ensuring the differentiation of pedagogical practices in order to make the training accessible to all learners, regardless of their abilities or backgrounds. You identify any potential learning difficulties and ensure the transmission of relevant information to the concerned EPO stakeholders in order to guarantee adapted support.  Finally, you ensure compliance with the institutional framework and the application of security measures in force within the establishment. Responsibilities ## • Provide individualized, collective, and adapted pedagogical teaching allowing everyone to acquire the basics or to perfect their practice of the French language.  • Evaluate the base level, as well as the progress of detainees enrolled for the activity by valuing participation, application, and work.  • Organize your teaching by ensuring the differentiation of pedagogical practices to make the training accessible to all detainees participating in the activity.  • Identify any potential learning difficulties and transmit them to the concerned EPO stakeholders.  • Explicitly state the course expectations and ensure the follow-up of its teaching.  • Ensure the application of security measures in force in the establishment.  For further information, please consult the job description by clicking here or contact Monsieur Nils Guignard, Responsable secteur FAST, at 024 557 24 39. Qualifications ## • Diploma in French as a foreign language or other equivalent title in the field of expertise. • FSEA certificate - adult trainer, an asset. • Ability to manage, in a closed environment, people in difficulty individually and within a group setting. • Minimum of 4 years of practical experience in teaching French to an adult audience. Our employment conditions require that you are Swiss or holder of a C permit, exempt from an act of default of assets (an extract from the Office des poursuites must be presented during the process), and your criminal record must be clean. There is a right to consult the criminal record in application of the Federal Act on Criminal Records by the hiring authority for this function.
