As a cross-sectional department with around 160 employees, Planning & Deployment supports the front-line departments with specialists and advises the commander on security police matters. Our technical responsibility extends from locations in the city area of Bern to the operational centers, the order service formations, as well as to the (militia) dog handlers throughout the Canton of Bern. Your tasks

• Carrying out general secretarial tasks such as business control in the administration system, mail processing, appointment coordination for the department management and drafting general correspondence, incl. taking minutes at meetings and monitoring pending items
• Administration of all training and further education applications of the department, incl. financial processing in SAP
• Processing personnel administration matters such as leave requests, performance bonuses and internal job changes
• Ensuring the flow of information within the department and interface coordination to the corps
• Planning and organization of the regularly occurring management seminars incl. ensuring smooth operations on site

Your profile

• Completed commercial training or several years of professional experience in a similar activity
• Routine handling of the MS-Office suite
• Good ability to grasp and combine information for networked thinking as well as a structured, exact and goal-oriented way of working even with high volumes of work
• Proactive, loyal and discreet personality with high social competence, strong team orientation as well as a flexible and solution-oriented attitude towards occasional deployments outside of regular working hours
• Very good written and oral expression skills in German as well as good French skills
