Located in the Vevey region, between city and country, the Cité du Genévrier welcomes adults with disabilities due to intellectual impairment. A multidisciplinary and multi-site structure, it offers the people welcomed a particularly harmonious living and working environment as well as a set of skills adapted to the needs and aspirations of each individual.

Integrated into the Fondation Eben-Hézer, the Cité du Genévrier is the custodian of the moral testament of its founder, Sœur Julie Hofmann. In this capacity, it considers the happiness of the people welcomed as the ultimate goal of its action.

Mission ###

The "Le Lilas" Group is a living space welcoming 4 adults presenting autism spectrum disorders associated with moderate to severe intellectual impairment. The group offers individualized and evolving support starting from the resident's needs. On a daily basis, the educator focuses on predictability work allowing the development and maintenance of skills through the structuring and adaptation of the environment. Support develops through proximity work rhythmically alternating between individual and collective time. The team's wish is that each resident can be fully integrated into the heart of their life project. In daily life, particular attention is developed to nourish the physical, psychic, cultural, social, and gustatory well-being of the people welcomed.

The educator at Le Lilas:

• Accompanying the person in their daily life in an individualized way
• Having the capacity to establish professional writings, transmit, and report on their work
• Encouraging autonomy, the notion of choice, and self-determination
• Providing support for receptive and expressive communication
• Relying on practices such as the ABA method, the TEACCH approach, PECS
• Getting involved in group activities: gym, cooking workshop, plant room, creative and artistic room, outdoor outings

Desired Profile ###

• Being a holder of an ES or HES educator diploma
• Having experience in the field of intellectual impairment and/or ASD
• Being comfortable with teamwork and communication
• Possessing experience in the implementation of life projects and adapted protocols
• Being dynamic, proactive, and motivated
• Knowing how to listen, but also knowing how to position oneself
• Questioning one's own practice with a view to evolution

You master standard IT tools, possess a driver's license, and are willing to work irregular hours including during weekends.

We offer you the opportunity to take part in an innovative project and to evolve in a working environment conducive to the realization of the mission and to your professional fulfillment. Within the framework of this indefinite duration contract, you can benefit from an interesting and varied internal training program, as well as the social conditions and benefits of the CCT of the Vaudois semi-public social sector, with 8 weeks of vacation, 9 weeks from the age of 50.
