Social Worker with foreign language competence

Since its founding in 2001, Aliena has developed into a central contact point that, beyond its counseling services, has become a place of encounter and exchange for women from the sex industry as well as for partner organizations. Aliena advocates for the improvement of the living and working conditions of women working in the sex industry, as well as against their social exclusion and stigmatization. The specialist center is religiously and politically independent and is under the sponsorship of the association Aliena. Aliena, specialist center for women in the sex industry, is looking from December 2026 or by arrangement for a employee with a degree in Social Work FH (60-70%). Your main areas of work • Counseling for women in the sex industry, if possible in their mother tongue, • Provision of initial information for sex workers, • Outreach work at the workplaces of sex workers, • Collaboration in the various services of the specialist center. You bring with you • several years of practical professional experience, • experience in psychosocial counseling, in the low-threshold sector and/or in outreach social work or willingness to familiarize yourself with these areas • accepting attitude towards sex work; experience in sex work is desirable, • high intercultural and social competence, • flexibility, resilience and balance between closeness and distance, • knowledge of migration, victim support and social security law as well as familiarity with the social Basel, • very good German skills (oral and written) as well as counseling competence in Hungarian and/or Romanian, • willingness to distribute working hours over several days.
