Head Barista at ViCAFE - Basel

You love coffee, hospitality, and people who make a difference together. You want to take on responsibility and actively help shape the operational success of our Espresso Bars. In this key role, you will work closely with our baristas and the Espresso Bar Management. You are a role model on the floor, support your team in daily business, and ensure together with all those involved that our guests enjoy an outstanding ViCAFE experience every day. Particularly at our A-locations, you contribute significantly to ensuring that our bars function smoothly and that the highest quality standards are lived.

Operational Responsibility (approx. 80%)

• Active participation at the front and high presence on the floor
• Ensuring constantly high product, service, and guest quality
• Leadership and motivation of the barista team in daily operational business
• Coordination of breaks as well as flexible redistribution of the team in the event of short-term absences
• Active upselling of our products and offers (e.g., coffee beans, tastings, or courses)
• Close and solution-oriented cooperation with the Store Management as well as the Location Leads
• Responsibility for orders, daily reports, and other administrative tasks
• Support for the Academy during internal training as well as external courses and events
• Active support of the Store Management in guest contact and in daily operations management
• Taking over operational responsibility for the Espresso Bar in the absence of the Store Management

Leadership and Development (approx. 20%)

• Coaching, accompaniment, and further development of the baristas in daily work
• Regular, appreciative feedback and promotion of a strong feedback culture
• Building and maintaining a positive, motivating team culture
• Support with new openings as well as in building long-term guest relationships and a strong regular customer base
• You are a host with heart and create a warm, professional atmosphere for our guests as well as for your team.
• You work independently, take responsibility, and maintain an overview even in lively situations.
• You organize yourself well, enjoy rolling up your sleeves, and approach challenges pragmatically.
• Coffee is your passion – and you know how to convince guests with your enthusiasm and sales skills.
• You bring experience in gastronomy or hospitality and feel comfortable in a dynamic environment.
• You want to continuously develop your leadership skills and take on responsibility within the team.
• You communicate clearly, openly, and appreciatively and enjoy working with different people.
• You are flexible, think ahead, and do not lose sight of the common vision even with changing priorities.
