The employer is looking for a: IB Academic Coordinator, Head of Program Development and Educational Transformation (reported profession) Tasks: • coordinate and develop International Baccalaureate programs (PYP, MYP and DP) ensuring full compliance with IB standards and practices • lead IB authorization, evaluation, and accreditation processes, including documentation preparation, evidence collection, and management of relationships with IB evaluation teams • supervise the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of the Diploma Programme, with particular attention to CAS, Theory of Knowledge and Extended Essay • lead the training, coaching, and professional development of teachers, including teachers with limited or no IB experience • design and conduct professional workshops for school staff • develop, review, and implement school and IB policies, including: assessment Policy inclusion Policy admissions Policy academic Integrity Policy • promote school improvement initiatives based on data and international best practices • coordinate and monitor digital platforms for learning, assessment, and program management • lead educational innovation processes and digital transformation at the institutional level • collaborate with the Management in the strategic development of the school and in the achievement of institutional objectives Essential requirements: • proven experience in coordinating one or more International Baccalaureate programs • documented experience in managing IB authorization, evaluation, or accreditation processes • in-depth knowledge of IB standards and practices • experience in professional training and coaching of teaching staff • demonstrated ability to develop school systems, operating procedures, and organizational improvement processes • experience in drafting and reviewing school policies and institutional documentation • high competence in using digital educational platforms and learning management systems • ability to lead complex organizational changes and school improvement initiatives • fluent English, written and spoken Will constitute a preferential title: • Microsoft Innovative Educator (MIE) certification • experience in the strategic implementation of digital platforms such as Century Tech, Toddle, Kognity, Unifrog and Microsoft 365 • experience in conducting official workshops or professional training for IB teachers • completion of official IB workshops in the areas of PYP, MYP or DP • experience in starting or developing IB programs from scratch • experience in managing school improvement initiatives with measurable results • experience in multiple IB programs (PYP, MYP and DP) Distinctive skills sought: • IB academic leadership • international accreditation and evaluation experience • teacher training and coaching • development of school policies and educational governance • implementation of IB programs • educational innovation and digital transformation • organizational change management • professional staff development • supervision of institutional compliance and quality Employment details: • work location Lugano • 100% employment • employment from immediately, permanent contract • salary to be agreed upon
