Start of position: ab 1. August 2026 or by arrangement Work location: Krauchthal <<Execution according to measure>> is our motto at the Thorberg correctional facility. We execute sanctions for 170 men from over 40 nations in closed custody. Our 140 employees are committed daily to the reintegration of the inmates into society and thus make an important contribution to public safety. In eleven workshops, we lead and promote the inmates according to work agogic principles. Our programs in the areas of work, therapy, education, sport, and leisure are consistently aimed at risk reduction and social integration. Your tasks <br /> • Participation in the entire production process of the central kitchen (incl. bakery) • Shared responsibility for smooth kitchen operations in a 7-day operation (deployment according to deployment planning) • Instruction and accompaniment of inmates in everyday work from work agogic perspectives • Promotion of professional, social, and personal competencies of the inmates • Collaboration in a team consisting of 3 chefs / 1 master baker incl. management • Compliance with quality, hygiene, and safety standards in corrections • Compliance with HACCP requirements as well as hygiene and safety standards • Warehouse management with cleanliness, order, and ordering processes • Participation in a structured, meaningful daily routine for the inmates incl. enforcement of rules <br /> Your profile <br /> • Completed training as Koch EFZ (mandatory) • Minimum age 24 as well as professional experience, ideally in communal catering • Intention or interest in later further development in the field of work agogics (training after pre-internship) • Resilient, stable personality with assertiveness • No hesitation in dealing with convicted people • High social competence as well as the ability to convey clear structures • Verbally proficient (German in speaking and writing; other languages an advantage) • Readiness for irregular working hours (7-day operation) <br /> We offer you An extraordinary, responsible, and largely independent activity awaits you in a demanding environment of corrections, in which you actively contribute to the shaping of development processes. Since this is an internship position, remuneration is according to the cantonal guidelines for internships and is accordingly below the salary of a regular employment. The targeted development of further specialist knowledge via suitable educational institutions is supported.
