The Amt für Natur und Umwelt implements federal laws regarding water, environment, as well as nature and landscape protection. Our tasks include examining projects for compliance with environmental law, inspecting facilities, awarding contributions, issuing permits, as well as environmental monitoring and environmental education. Additionally, we coordinate the implementation of the climate and biodiversity strategy. Around 60 specialists work in the Amt für Natur und Umwelt. The secretariat team consists of four people and is responsible for the administration of the entire office. We are looking for a Head of Secretariat for the Amt für Natur und Umwelt as of 1. October 2026 or by arrangement. Your area of responsibility You lead the secretariat and ensure an efficient and smooth flow of day-to-day business. You coordinate the distribution of work in the team, prioritize tasks, and ensure compliance with defined processes. You are the first point of contact for the secretariat team as well as for the employees of the office regarding questions and orders related to the secretariat. You further develop the processes in the secretariat, document processes, and ensure their continuous optimization. You undertake versatile administrative tasks such as telephone and mail services, the management of the central mailbox, as well as the registration of documents in the business administration. You check texts and coordinate the dispatch of government decisions and departmental decrees. As a CMI power user, you support the further development of the business administration and participate in projects. You participate in digital transformation and other projects. What we want from you You have completed commercial training as well as several years of professional experience. You have already led a secretariat or have leadership experience. You are a quality-conscious and committed personality with initiative and assertiveness. You have very good comprehension and enjoy diverse tasks and topics. You are ready to contribute to changing processes within the framework of digital transformation. You have good IT user skills and are open to internal company systems. You enjoy working in a team and are ready to perform your tasks flexibly and in a service-oriented manner. Your German skills are stylistically confident in speaking and writing. Good knowledge of several cantonal languages is an advantage.
