Job Description ##
1. Project Management & Coordination
• Act as the central coordination point across multiple internal functions (e.g., resource mobilisation, health programmes, communications, strategy, and legal teams).
• Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and governance processes to ensure alignment and timely delivery of key initiatives.
• Track deliverables, monitor implementation progress, and ensure effective follow-up on decisions and actions.
• Support the preparation of high-level governance materials for senior leadership and committees.
2. Donor Engagement & External Relations
• Lead the development of strategic donor engagement plans, including briefing materials, messaging, and responses to funding partners.
• Serve as a focal point for consolidating information and managing donor queries during crisis situations.
• Proactively engage with key donors and investors to strengthen positioning and support fundraising objectives.
• Coordinate cross-functional inputs to streamline stakeholder engagement and reduce operational burden on technical teams.
• Support the preparation of materials for high-level events, forums, and investor engagements.
3. Strategic Analysis & Scenario Planning
• Conduct scenario planning for potential crisis evolution and assess implications for funding needs and resource allocation.
• Analyse quantitative and qualitative data to identify risks, opportunities, and strategic options.
• Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership to inform decision-making.
4. Reporting, Compliance & Governance
• Oversee donor reporting processes during and after emergency responses.
• Ensure compliance with donor agreements and funding conditions in collaboration with legal and finance teams.
• Prepare comprehensive reports for governance bodies, including lessons learned from crisis response activities.
• Contribute to the preparation of periodic reviews of financing mechanisms and frameworks.
5. Partnerships & Financing Innovation
• Collaborate with international financial institutions and development partners on emerging financing mechanisms.
• Monitor external developments in crisis financing frameworks and assess opportunities for alignment.
• Contribute to broader organisational strategies related to preparedness and response financing.
The Successful Applicant ##
Education
• Master's degree (or equivalent) in Public Health, International Development, Economics, Finance, Public Policy, International Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in international development, global health, development finance, resource mobilisation, consulting, or emergency response.
• Experience within an international organisation, multilateral institution, development finance institution, or donor agency is highly desirable.
• Exposure to global health financing and donor ecosystems is a strong advantage.
Skills & Competencies
• Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects in fast-paced environments.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities, including scenario planning and risk assessment.
• Excellent communication and drafting skills, with experience preparing materials for senior stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing abilities.
• Solid understanding of development finance, donor relations, and resource mobilisation.
• High level of adaptability, resilience, and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Strong judgement, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Fluency in English required; additional languages (e.g., French) are a plus.
