In the role of Ward Manager of the acute department, you are responsible for professional and personnel leadership and work practically within your team. You support the employees in ensuring the flawless operation of daily business and in nursing care in the acute area.

As a regional hospital/acute hospital with emergency services, nursing home and Spitex, we are responsible for the basic medical care of the Davos population and guests. Ward Manager Acute Department (80-100%) ##

Your area of responsibility

• Comprehensive nursing care of inpatient and outpatient patients
• Planning and documentation of the nursing process in close coordination with the registered nursing staff
• Planning, coordination and monitoring of nursing in cooperation with the medical service as well as the interdisciplinary services
• Responsibility for the leadership, deployment and development of the directly subordinate employees, conducting regular appraisal meetings
• Support and advice for the nursing team in complex nursing situations
• Ensuring high quality of care and continuous optimization of work processes
• Responsibility for the cost center of the acute department
• Regular participation in nursing management meetings

Your profile

• Completed tertiary-level training in the nursing field and several years of professional experience in an acute hospital
• Proven leadership experience or willingness to complete corresponding further training
• Enjoyment of a seasonally influenced operation with an intensive phase in winter in an enlarged team, lively summer months and quieter times in the off-season
• Distinct communication and organizational skills, high social competence, sense of responsibility, empathy and assertiveness
• Independent, innovative and goal-oriented way of working
• Respectful and appreciative interaction with the team as well as the patients
• Excellent oral and written German skills
