What you can contribute

• Transmit technical knowledge in the areas of use, maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of wheeled armored vehicles, and support the practical instruction of soldiers during exercises and field engagements
• Plan, design, and implement modern professional instruction, develop pedagogical materials, online learning content, and practice-oriented instruction programs
• Elaborate maintenance, instruction, use, and safety concepts, and continuously develop technical instruction
• Pursue the development of technical documentation related to maintenance in collaboration with industrial partners, armasuisse and the Base logistique de l'armée, and implement current standards
• Guide, encourage, and support troop artisans and non-commissioned officers in their professional development
• Evaluate the next generation, encourage new talents, and contribute to training the next generation of technical specialists for the Armée suisse

What makes you unique

• Completed vocational training as an automobile mechatronician, agricultural or construction machine mechanic, or in a comparable technical profession, with several years of practical experience
• Ideally, advanced training as a technician ES, automobile diagnostician, or equivalent qualification
• Precise, autonomous, and solution-oriented working method, taste for responsibility
• Ability to promote the professional and personal development of young people and to accompany them with an authentic leadership style
• Military experience if possible (not mandatory: skills will be acquired as part of initial training)
• Very good command of German and, preferably, knowledge of a second official language and English

The Instruction Command (cdmt Instr) is responsible for instruction within the Armée suisse -- from recruitment to the training of militia officers and career soldiers, including general basic instruction. The cdmt Instr includes Higher Officer Training, Army Personnel, five application training centers, the Army Instruction Center, as well as the specialized service Women in the Army and diversity. One third of the approximately 2350 employees practice civilian professions in scientific, technical, medical, psychological, administrative, or sporting fields and, along with career soldiers, contribute to the success of the army.

The Armée suisse employs more than 9000 employees in four military professions and approximately 200 civilian professions, across 110 sites throughout Switzerland. It also ensures the next generation by training apprentices in more than 30 trades.
