Social Pedagogue (male/female)

The Stiftung Salome Brunner is committed to around 300 children and adolescents with language and learning disabilities. With our various schools, we see ourselves as an important part of the educational landscape of the Canton of Bern.

Die Sprachheilschule Langenthal is a special public school for children with complex language disorders. It comprises four classes in Cycle 1. The children are accompanied and supported in their development by specially qualified professionals. Small classes enable attention to the individual needs of the students. Speech therapy and psychomotorics take place predominantly as individual therapy.

As of 01.10.2026 or by arrangement, we are looking for a:n Social Pedagogue, 35 - 45 %, distributed over 4 days during school weeks.

Your main tasks include:

• Supporting and accompanying children in the area of behavior in the school environment
• Multidisciplinary cooperation (teachers, therapists, lunchtime supervision)
• Initiating and leading child groups on various topics
• Participating in school projects
• Responsibility for the lunchtime supervision on Monday and on Thursday
• Supporting the teachers in dealing with behavioral difficulties of the students
• Cooperation with legal guardians as well as with necessary specialist agencies (prevention, intervention, child protection)

What you bring with you:

• completed studies in Social Work or Social Pedagogy
• very good German language skills, other language skills are an advantage
