• Translation of texts of all types from various sectors (speeches/reports of the President of the Confederation and the Federal Councillors, specialist and informative texts, Internet texts, regulatory acts, etc.)
• Revision and correction of texts translated into English
• Participation in the dissemination of the unified English terminology of the Confederation

What distinguishes you

• University degree in translation, linguistics or equivalent training
• Stylistic mastery of British English and familiarity with its regional variants
• Several years of experience in translating specialist texts
• Editorial skills and experience in the use of translation programs
• Excellent knowledge of two official languages (B2) and knowledge of a third official language (A2) constitute a preferential qualification

Federal Chancellery -- the staff of the Federal Council

The Federal Chancellery is the staff of the Federal Council and assists it in the preparation and conduct of its meetings as well as in the related subsequent work. It manages and coordinates the communication of the Government and develops its political planning. It organizes the events in which the Federal Council participates in person and assists the President of the Confederation in the exercise of his function. The Federal Chancellery also organizes votes and elections at the federal level. It ensures contact with initiative and referendum committees and verifies the formal success of referendum applications and popular initiatives. Finally, the Federal Chancellery supports and coordinates the digital transformation of the Federal Administration.
