Subject Matter Expert Mediation

In this versatile role, you convey knowledge in a lively and understandable way and particularly inspire children and young people for our thematic worlds. With your didactic know-how, your creativity, and your sense for different target groups, you will further develop existing mediation offers and help design new learning and experience formats. The following main tasks await you:

• Organization and implementation of our workshop offers for different target groups
• Coordination and accompaniment of appearances at educational fairs
• Conception, organization, and implementation of project weeks and other educational formats
• Development and elaboration of didactic teaching, learning, and supporting materials for our exhibition areas
• Support of the deputy Head of Education & Mediation in the organization, design, and implementation of continuing education offers as well as in the supervision of Kids-Club events
• Deputy for the Coordinator of Education & Mediation
• Deputy contact person for our apprentices in the absence of the Education & Mediation coordination

You are an open-minded and communicative personality who enjoys standing before people and understands how to win, motivate, and inspire young people for a topic in particular. In addition, you bring the following:

• A didactic education, for example a PH degree, teaching diploma, or a comparable qualification
• Teaching experience as well as experience in knowledge mediation, for example in workshops, courses, or comparable formats
• Experience in dealing with children, adolescents, and/or apprentices
• Joy in mediation as well as strong presentation and entertainment talent
• Creative and innovative thinking as well as joy in developing new mediation formats
• Very good knowledge of German, good language skills in English and French are an advantage
• Confident handling of Microsoft 365
• Natural science knowledge is an advantage
