Biodiversity and Landscape Quality Project Manager # Office for Agriculture and Geoinformation | 80-100 % | Chur ## The Office for Agriculture and Geoinformation is a service of the Department of Public Economy and Social Affairs. It comprises the four sections: agricultural measures, structural improvement, surveying, as well as the GIS competence center. The agricultural measures section is responsible for the implementation of the Confederation's agricultural policy in the Canton of Grisons. It ensures that direct payments to agriculture are paid in accordance with the law, thus providing an important contribution to the conservation and sustainable development of Grisons agriculture. In the areas/ecology sector, as a project manager, you will be responsible for tasks relating to biodiversity and landscape quality, develop projects for landscape quality and interconnection, and serve as a contact person for questions from farm managers, specialized services, and external mandataries. Furthermore, you will support the team in GIS-related matters and applications. We offer a varied and responsibility-filled activity within the Cantonal Administration. For the areas/ecology sector in the agricultural measures section, we are looking for a motivated biodiversity and landscape quality project manager (80-100 %) starting from 1 October 2026 or a date to be agreed upon. Tasks • Management, implementation and further development of projects in the sectors of biodiversity and landscape quality within the framework of the execution of direct payments to agriculture • Responsibility for the correct calculation of contributions for biodiversity and for landscape quality • Collaboration in the development of the LAWIS Plus agricultural data system as well as technical and specialist tasks with the ArcGIS Pro geographic information system • Specialist training and support of external specialized offices What we expect from you • Completed studies at a university or a university of applied sciences in agronomy or environmental sciences or a diploma as an SSS agrotechnician with professional experience • In-depth experience with GIS applications, ideally ArcGIS, as well as high affinity with specific applications and digital processes • Understanding of the needs of agriculture as well as the ability to develop actionable solutions taking into account agricultural production, execution and the promotion of biodiversity • Ability to work in a team, communication skills as well as the ability to deal with specialist topics with stylistic mastery and in a manner appropriate to the recipients • Analytical and interdisciplinary thinking • Autonomous, structured method of working characterized by initiative as well as organizational talent We look forward to receiving your online application and will be pleased to meet you.
