Tasks
You will develop the foundations for the project «Die Kunstdenkmäler des Kantons Nidwalden» in two volumes in the series «Die Kunstdenkmäler der Schweiz» published by the Gesellschaft für Schweizerische Kunstgeschichte GSK:
Documenting the stock of art monuments based on extensive source and literature studies
On-site investigations, textual processing according to «Die Inventarisation der Kunstdenkmäler der Schweiz. Richtlinien 2017» of the GSK (unchanged edition approved and declared binding by the board of the GSK in 1984)
Procurement of illustrative material such as photos and plans
Collaboration in the technical production
Your profile
Completed university degree in Art History (MA) with a focus on architectural history. Practical experience in inventorying is an advantage
Research and publication experience in the field of architectural history (Middle Ages - 20th century)
Ability to independently organize and carry out the described scientific work
Good ability to formulate understandable scientific texts in German
Skill in dealing with owners and representatives of historical buildings as well as official offices and specialists
