Chemical Plant Operator for Production

Background:
As a Production Expert (m/f/d), you are an integral part of the packaging team and are therefore responsible for operating the production equipment as well as for the correct execution of order and batch changes, in order to ensure GMP and SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) compliant production. Through organizational and technical improvements, you contribute to the optimization of production processes and to the increase of equipment availability. You report directly to the Head of the Process Unit VS-Solids Kaiseraugst.

The perfect candidate: brings at least 3 years of relevant professional experience and has completed vocational training in a technical field. In addition, the candidate possesses a high willingness to learn for deployment in various areas and technologies, as well as experienced handling of production-relevant systems. High teamwork skills and the willingness to work in a self-organized team, as well as to take on corresponding responsibility, are skills that the candidate should bring.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Independent execution of packaging activities according to applicable
• GMP regulations including identification and accounting of materials, performing in-process controls and sample withdrawals, goods transport and disposal
• Collaboration in routine production as a Production Expert (equipment operator)
• Independent operation of the production equipment and the associated IT systems
• Independent documentation of all GMP-relevant work and malfunctions (SAP, MES, OEE) and immediate reporting of identified deviations and faulty conditions
• Ensuring the availability of format parts, packaging materials and consumables at the place of use
• Evaluation and processing of alarms and malfunctions including commenting on these in the OEE tool
• Clearing out and cleaning the production equipment
• Disposal of waste
• Processing of production orders in the corresponding IT systems (accounting for production orders, operating the line control desk)
• Active collaboration in the introduction, optimization and application of LPS (Lean Production System) methods
• Ensuring compliance with all safety regulations
• Ensuring production according to written specifications in qualitative and quantitative terms

Must Haves:

*• Completed vocational training in the field of chemical plant operator or similar ()

• Min. 3 years professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry (GMP), ideally in the areas of packaging ()

• Experienced handling of production-relevant systems (MES, SAP eWM), as well as generally with MS Office or G-Suite ()

• High willingness to learn for deployment in various areas and technologies (polyvalence) (*)
• High teamwork skills and willingness to work in a self-organized team, as well as to take on corresponding responsibility ()
• Willingness and flexibility for shift work
• Enjoyment of working in a dynamic environment
• Structured, independent and self-reliant way of working
• Good process and technical understanding
• Very good German skills (spoken and written)
