Your Role

You have a key role in which you can help shape a highly secure and modern IT architecture while being very close to the technical implementation. In this position, you bridge the gap between strategic architecture, stable system landscapes, and modern cyber security. You evaluate future-oriented technologies, optimize the architecture through stepwise modernization for greater efficiency in development and operation, and actively participate in implementation. In doing so, you work at eye level with our System Engineers, the administration, and our in-house system provider.

Your Tasks

• Architecture & Innovation: You design and are responsible for optimizations of our IT architecture, evaluate new technologies, and drive the further development of our infrastructure.
• Security & Identity Management: You maintain the security of our architecture at a high level, secure data flows, and design modern identity and access structures (IDP).
• Hands-on Integration: You do not only design, but also actively contribute by directly implementing and integrating new basic structures.
• System & Provider Interface: You work closely and in partnership with the System Engineers as well as with the administrators and manage the cooperation with our system provider within the same company structure.
• Data & Analytics: You design and optimize high-performance data architectures for complex databases and data-intensive workloads (Data Pipelining).
• Quality & Load Testing: With your understanding of modern testing methods and load tests, you ensure the performance and reliability of the systems under real conditions.
• Questioning Structures: You bring the courage and expertise to constructively question and optimize existing structures ("Challenging of systems").

Your Profile

• Infrastructure & System Proximity: You have a pronounced passion for IT infrastructures and modern tools; working close to the operational system landscape inspires you.
• Security & IDP Expert: You possess sound, strong knowledge in the field of IT security as well as in the design and management of identity provider structures (preferably with Keycloak and MS Entra).
• Data & Tool Know-how: You are very familiar with databases and data flows and ideally bring experience with tools such as Apache Spark and Apache NiFi.
• Repository & Code Understanding: You are familiar with the structured storage and integration of system structures into software repositories (e.g., Git).
• Container & Orchestration: You possess solid basic knowledge in Kubernetes as well as in the field of container orchestration.
• Future Technologies: You have a strong interest in trends such as "Artificial Intelligence" (AI) and possess the ability to evaluate their benefit for the infrastructure.
• Mindset: You are a strong team player who quickly perceives complex dependencies and enjoys actively helping to shape technological standards.
