Social Deaconess / Social Deacon ##

(possibly in job-sharing)

Your main tasks

• Organizing and implementing existing or new offers for elderly people
• Advising and supporting the residents of the 13 senior apartments on Bernastrasse
• Family work projects (e.g., lunch table)
• Coordination, accompaniment, recruitment of volunteers
• Collaboration on projects in the team and with other parishes/church districts
• Contact point for information, public relations
• Social counseling: individual case assistance and counseling
• Networking with institutions in the neighborhood and in the city-wide context (including development cooperation projects)
• Administrative tasks

We expect from you

• completed training in Social Work, Social Diaconia or comparable training
• joy in working with people into old age
• high social competence, communication and team skills
• flexible time presence
• interest in religious and church issues
• member of a cantonal recognized state church or willing to become one
