• 23 July 2026 • 100% • Indefinite period • Staefa Staefa, Switzerland Senior Sustainability Regulatory Manager (m/f/d) Do you want to shape the way a global organization anticipates and responds to rapidly evolving sustainability and product regulations? As Senior Sustainability Regulatory Manager, you will establish and lead a centralized internal function responsible for managing environmental, material, and product-related regulations. You will provide group-wide guidance on requirements such as REACH, RoHS, PFAS, Ecodesign, and the right to repair, helping us anticipate regulatory changes, protect market access, and ensure the longevity of our products. This strategic and cross-functional role goes beyond regulatory monitoring and compliance advisory. You will translate evolving obligations into concrete requirements for the company, establish effective governance, and ensure consistent implementation across business units and functions. More about the role • Establish a structured approach to monitor environmental, material, and product regulations on a global and regional scale. • Assess the applicability and impact of new and evolving requirements on products, technologies, markets, and lifecycle stages. • Translate complex legal and technical obligations into clear requirements for the company, regulatory positions, and practical guidelines. • Design and continuously improve the complete regulatory lifecycle - from early monitoring and gap identification to remediation, verification, and closure. • Establish governance structures, decision-making forums, escalation paths, and clear responsibilities within product management activities. • Lead cross-functional gap assessments and remediation programs, ensuring clear ownership, prioritization, risk management, and progress tracking. • Serve as a group-level authority on product management, providing expert advice and developing regulatory capabilities within the organization. • Strengthen product and material data governance and provide management with transparent indicators on regulatory exposure and remediation progress. More about you • At least a bachelor's degree in environmental science, chemistry, materials science, engineering, law, regulatory studies, or a related discipline; a master's or equivalent postgraduate qualification in sustainability or a related field is strongly preferred. • At least 10 years of progressive experience in product management, environmental compliance, sustainability, regulatory affairs, quality, or a related field in a product-based regulated industry. • Strong knowledge of regulations such as REACH, RoHS, PFAS restrictions, Ecodesign, and the right to repair, ideally across multiple regions. • Senior-level experience in establishing capabilities, processes, and governance and leading through influence in complex global organizations. • A strong track record in conducting regulatory gap assessments, cross-functional remediation programs, and regulation-driven changes. • Ability to translate legal and technical requirements into practical guidelines and to collaborate with R&D, Quality and Regulatory Affairs, supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, product management, sustainability, data, and IT. • Familiarity with product and material data governance and environments such as PLM, ERP, or material data management systems. • Fluent English and excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence senior leaders.
