As a Kaufmann / Kauffrau at Lonza, you will work in areas including Vocational Basic Training, Human Resources (HR), and Site Services, and as a result of this rotation, you will receive a broad insight and get to know many different processes. You will handle correspondence in German as well as in foreign languages. You will organize business trips and internal events and work closely with employees from the corresponding specialist departments. Making phone calls, organizing, and planning are part of your daily work routine. You enjoy working with the computer and find it easy to use modern communication tools. Additionally, you are motivated to learn new things, enjoy interacting with people, and are committed. Your training The apprenticeship lasts 3 years. The most important key elements are: lifelong learning, holistic thinking and acting, teamwork, and independence. The practical training takes place in a company in the chemical or pharmaceutical industry. The vocational school is attended two days per week during the 1st and 2nd year of apprenticeship and one day per week during the 3rd year. If you decide on the Berufsmatura, you will attend the vocational school two days per week during the three years of apprenticeship. Your profile Rapid comprehension, logical-abstract thinking ability, creativity in seeking solutions, systematic way of working, strong ability to concentrate, good English skills, very good German skills (at least B2 level).
