Head of Department in Geomatics

What you can achieve. • Within the infrastructure in the «Engineering» business unit, you lead the «Geomatik» department (around 50 employees). Together with your leadership team, you develop the department with a focus on the future. • Your main tasks include the direct leadership and coaching of 4 team leaders and one specialist at the locations Renens, Olten, Zürich-Altstetten, and Bellinzona. • You ensure the performance of the department in terms of resources and competencies and are responsible for the safe, cost-, time-, and quality-compliant planning and implementation of all expansion and renewal projects in the «Geomatik» department. • Through digitalization, harmonization, and standardization of collaboration with internal and external partners, you make an active contribution to efficient project processing. • You are in the lead regarding the specialist management «Geomatik», represent the interests of SBB and the department, and are the contact person for internal and external stakeholders. • As a member of the «Engineering» leadership team, you advise and support in terms of content and processes in strategic and conceptual issues, as well as in the sustainable, cultural, and digital development of the entire business unit. What you bring with you. • With your rapid comprehension of complex issues and your solution-oriented nature, you can quickly immerse yourself in new subject areas. • You have good stakeholder management and communicate convincingly, tactfully, and at eye level across all hierarchical levels. Through your winning manner, you also convince critical voices. • As an experienced leader, you inspire people and teams. You also bring several years of experience in construction and/or railway infrastructure construction as well as the project management of complex projects. • A degree in a technical direction is required. Additionally, you have completed further training in the field of business administration. • Your collected experience in the field of geomatics completes your profile. • You are business fluent in German; good knowledge of French (B2) is required.
