Metrology Technician in the measurement laboratory

For our largest production site in Haag (Rheintal), Switzerland, we are looking for a Metrology Technician for the measurement laboratory. As part of our metrology team, you will support us with demanding metrological tasks.

Job description:

• Execution of 3D scans using optical metrology
• Digitization of components, tools, and complex geometries
• Evaluation and analysis of measurement data with ZEISS INSPECT
• Execution of target-actual comparisons based on CAD data
• Execution of measurements on ZEISS coordinate measuring machines (CMM)
• Creation of measurement programs for ZEISS coordinate measuring machines (CMM)
• Creation of measurement reports and technical documentation
• Support in product developments, initial sampling, and series releases
• Development and optimization of measurement strategies and testing processes
• Collaboration with development, production, quality assurance, and customers

Qualifications:

• Must Haves (required knowledge):
• Completed technical training, e.g., as a polymechanic, designer, metrology technician, or plastics technologist, or a comparable qualification
• Knowledge in industrial metrology
• Good user knowledge in ZEISS INSPECT (formerly GOM Inspect)
• Confident handling of CAD data and technical drawings
• Knowledge of geometric product specification and tolerancing

Nice to Haves (desirable additional knowledge):
Experience in optical 3D scanning and digitization is an advantage
Experience in tactile coordinate metrology is an advantage
Confident handling of CAD data and technical drawings
Good German skills; English skills are an advantage
