As an established secondary school center in the growing Sursee region, the Kantonsschule Sursee runs a 6-year long-term gymnasium and a 4-year short-term gymnasium. The Kantonsschule Sursee has a strong tradition in the field of natural sciences and offers the modern, integrative educational path 'Life Sciences' as well as an 'Immersion English' educational path. Attached to it is also a specialized middle school (Fachmittelschule) with the profile of Pedagogy. In addition to a large selection of elective subjects, the Kantonsschule Sursee also maintains a rich cultural offering. The school comprises approx. 1000 learners and around 130 teachers, and will continue to grow in the future. Furthermore, the school is well-connected in terms of transport.

Your tasks

• Conveying demanding education: You teach the subject of informatics at all levels of the gymnasium and the specialized middle school FMS.
• You promote and challenge your students in a learning-friendly climate.
• You fulfill further tasks according to the professional mandate of the Luzerner Gymnasien
• The position is suitable for experienced teachers as well as beginners/career changers into the teaching profession.
• Due to the gymnasium reform WEGM, there is the possibility to increase the workload in the following years.

Your profile

• You have a master's degree or an equivalent qualification as well as a teaching qualification for secondary level II or are in the process of acquiring it.
• With your openness to new things, you set sustainable impulses in the further development of teaching and the school.
• Your capacity for enthusiasm and your passion for the subject of informatics as well as your joy in working with young people distinguish you.
• You bring a team-oriented, empathetic, and communicative personality.
