Head of Accounting (m/f/d), 80–100 %

Your responsibility

In this function, you bear the overall technical responsibility for the group's accounting. You report directly to the CFO, lead the accounting team, and have technical authority over the accounting departments of the subsidiaries.

Your tasks

• You are responsible for the annual financial statements of all group companies according to OR and participate in the monthly and quarterly closings
• You build up the group consolidation across several consolidation circles and are subsequently responsible for them in ongoing operations, including intercompany reconciliation, eliminations, and first-time consolidations
• You lead the introduction of a consolidation and reporting tool with responsibility for budget, schedule, and the management of the implementation partner, including connection to Abacus
• You are responsible for the integration of newly acquired companies' accounting into the chart of accounts, processes, and system landscape
• You are responsible for the optimization, standardization, and digitalization of internal accounting processes as well as the further development of the internal control system
• You prepare the VAT returns and tax declarations of the group companies in coordination with the CFO
• You actively participate in day-to-day business: You perform demanding postings yourself, reconcile accounts, and support payment transactions
• You are the first point of contact for the audit firm and tax authorities.
• You lead the accounting team of 2 employees technically and personally and develop it further

Your profile

• Federal Diploma in Accounting and Controlling or equivalent qualification (Federal Diploma of Higher Education, etc.)
• Several years of experience in group accounting with several companies, ideally including the setup of a consolidation
• Leadership experience as well as experience in the optimization and automation of financial processes in a multi-company structure
• Sound knowledge of OR, VAT, and tax law for legal entities
• Experience with consolidation software (LucaNet is an advantage) as well as enjoyment of system implementations
• User knowledge of Abacus and experience in the construction or project business is an advantage
• Structured, resilient way of working with a pronounced hands-on mentality
• Proficient German
