You ensure that everything runs smoothly in the daily lives of our prosecutors. You coordinate appointments, manage files, and prepare documents for exciting proceedings -- from minor traffic offenses to robberies. With your organizational talent and your sense for legal contexts, you relieve our prosecutors and keep their backs free.

Your tasks

• Support criminal proceedings together with the responsible female prosecutor or the responsible male prosecutor
• Process mail as well as systematically record, manage, and archive documents for the cases assigned to you
• Keep an eye on appointments, deadlines, and procedural steps
• Conduct correspondence with parties involved in proceedings and authorities independently or upon instruction
• Take over organization surrounding interrogations, including appointment planning, coordination with those involved, preparation, and minute-taking
• Support the responsible female prosecutor or the responsible male prosecutor in on-call cases by preparing documents, joint conduct of interrogations, as well as during external assignments (regular on-call duties)

Your profile

• Completed commercial training or comparable qualification
• Interest in legal topics, which you link with your networked thinking
• You master administrative support in a legal environment flawlessly
• You keep a cool head, are resilient, and know how to prioritize
• Writing demanding texts in flawless German comes easily to you

Who we are

The public prosecutor's office is responsible for the enforcement of the state's right to prosecute. It conducts the preliminary investigation, prosecutes criminal offenses within the framework of investigations, files charges if necessary, and represents these charges in court. In less serious cases, it issues a penal order. Organizationally, the public prosecutor's office of the Canton of Bern consists of the Attorney General's Office, three public prosecutor's offices for the entire cantonal territory (one public prosecutor's office for the prosecution of economic offenses, one public prosecutor's office for special tasks, and one public prosecutor's office for juvenile criminal matters), as well as four regional public prosecutor's offices (Berner Jura-Seeland, Emmental-Oberaargau, Bern-Mittelland, and Oberland).
