The Role As Principal Delivery Manager, you take end-to-end responsibility for the successful implementation of demanding, customer-oriented projects at Zühlke - from the proposal phase through to planning and implementation. You act as the central point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders, make decisions independently, and assume full accountability for the project results. This role is suitable for experienced delivery professionals with a strong leadership mindset who can confidently manage large, complex software platform projects - particularly in the insurance environment and in fixed-delivery constellations (work contracts). How you make an impact • End-to-end responsibility for technology and software platform projects, with a focus on the insurance industry • Controlling scope, timelines, budget, and quality in fixed-delivery projects (work contracts) including contract and risk management • Building and maintaining roadmaps across multiple project phases and stakeholder levels • Leading and aligning cross-functional teams; alignment between business and tech stakeholders at the decision-making level • Independent customer communication, including escalation management and expectation management on the C-level/senior stakeholder side • Consistent application of agile methods (Scrum, SAFe) and active further development of delivery practice within the team • Leading proposal and delivery planning activities, including effort estimation and contract design • Exemplifying a strong leadership mindset: setting direction, making decisions, and taking responsibility for the delivery results What is important to us • Several years of experience in the implementation of large software or technology platform projects, including demonstrable project management experience in the insurance industry • Experience in a fixed-delivery environment / work contracts, including contract and scope management • Profound experience in stakeholder management and roadmapping at a strategic level • Solid, practice-tested understanding of agile methods (e.g., Scrum, SAFe) • Strong leadership mindset with true end-to-end ownership - you set the direction, decide, and stand for the project results • Excellent communication and negotiation skills when dealing with different stakeholders, including senior/C-level • Structured, independent way of working • University degree (Bachelor or higher), ideally in a technical or business administration field • Project management or agile certifications are an advantage • German at native level (C1) as well as very good English skills What we offer • Work-Life-Blend: We promote a balanced connection of professional and personal needs through flexible working hours, the possibility of working from home, and a modern, trust-based working environment. • Profit sharing: In addition to your annual salary, you can benefit from profit sharing based on the company's success from the previous year. • Global and diverse Zühlke community: Experience a unique, positive, and inclusive corporate culture in which colleagues work together, learn from one another, and exchange ideas.
