Polymécaniciens manufacture metal parts, devices, and tools of various sizes. They use modern numerically controlled machines such as drills, lathes, and milling machines, as well as many other machine tools. They monitor and optimize manufacturing processes. They assemble devices, machines, or installations and perform the necessary adjustments, controls, and operations. Working in a team with various specialists, they carry out projects and write technical documents.

Your activities and areas of responsibility:

• Read, understand, and apply technical documents and tool plans
• Define work steps and choose appropriate means and methods
• Set up the workstation and prepare the machine tools
• Use machine tools
• Monitor the machining process
• Perform quality controls
• Evaluate work results
• Write technical documents
• Programming with CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing)
